Quickstart Guide
Everything you need to know about your first Fortis.
Fortis Creation
Creating a fortis multisig is a straightforward process that begins with connecting your Solana wallet (such as Phantom or Backpack) .
Upon connecting, select the number of approvals required for transactions, and add members by adding their wallet addresses.
It is recommended to avoid minimum confirmation thresholds (1/x) and maximum thresholds (e.g. 5/5). Instead, opt for an optimal approach like 2/3 or 3/5 depending on the size of your team.
Always ensure each member keeps a backup of their private keys used for the multisig and that the threshold allows for easy replacement of a lost/compromised key. Recommend members to use cold wallets to protect their private keys.
Setting Up Your Fortis
Once you have created your multisig with a robust and secure setup, you can deposit your onchain assets to your Fortis. You can carry out transfers to your Fortis vault from Solana wallet (Phantom, Backpack, etc.);
Note: Before adding a large amount, it is recommended to first test with a small sum to ensure:
all members understand the process,
your multisig setup works as expected.
